Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Technology Policy Expert to enrich a curriculum and program design with deep insights into technology policy on a project. This role will involve providing subject matter expertise on critical tech policy issues, as well as developing and delivering targeted training sessions during the Bootcamp of the project.

Offer expertise on technology policy issues to shape the overall project design and curriculum.

Develop and deliver training sessions on key policy topics for the project.

Lead the joint research project focused on identifying Ghana's technology policy gaps.

Share best practices and insights from the technology policy field to support fellows' initiatives.

Mentor fellows by advising on policy-related aspects of their projects.

Provide constructive feedback to guide the evaluation of fellows' work.

Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and trends in technology policy to support fellows throughout the program and shape project implementation.

Requirements

Education/Training: An advanced degree in Public Policy, Law, Technology Policy, or a related discipline.

Language Proficiency: Required proficiency in English.

General Professional Experience: 7 years of proven expertise in technology policy, with a strong background in research and analysis of relevant policy issues.

Specific Professional Experience: 3 years of experience in providing training or advisory services on technology policy matters.

Leadership/Management Experience: 3 years of experience in training design and delivery, demonstrating capabilities in leading and managing educational programs and initiatives.

Regional Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience working on technology projects in Africa, with at least 3 years specifically focused on projects in Ghana.

Development Cooperation (DC) Experience: At least 2 years of experience working on development cooperation projects.

Qualification

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
